Walnut oil is derived from walnut kernels, which have an oil content of 65% to 70%, making it one of the richest oil sources among tree nuts. The oil is yellow to brown in color and is considered an ideal edible plant oil.

The chain extractor, a derivative of the annular extractor, is widely used for extracting oil from various oilseeds. The material is turned as it moves from the upper layer to the lower layer, allowing for more uniform and thorough extraction. This reduces the extraction time, while leaving minimal solvent and low residual oil in the wet meal. Both the drive and driven shafts use self-aligning roller bearings, and the drive system can either utilize a chain sprocket or hydraulic transmission.

The soybean oil production process involves treating soybeans through either the pressing or solvent extraction method to obtain crude oil, which is then refined to produce high-quality edible soybean oil. The pressing method is a purely physical process that includes steps such as crushing, cooking, pressing, and filtering. While this method retains more nutrients from the soybeans, the oil yield is relatively lower. In contrast, the solvent extraction method uses chemical solvents to extract the oil, resulting in a higher oil yield, though it may affect the purity and flavor of the oil.

Soybean Concentrate Protein is produced by processing soybeans through crushing, dehulling, extraction, separation, washing, and drying techniques. This process removes the oil, low-molecular-weight soluble non-protein components (mainly soluble sugars, ash, alcohol-soluble proteins, and odor substances), resulting in a product with a protein content of over 65% (dry basis, N×6.25).

Soybean Protein Isolate (SPI) is a highly nutritious, full-value protein food additive derived from low-temperature desolventized soybean meal. The production process of SPI utilizes the characteristic of soybean protein’s solubility, which changes significantly depending on the pH value.
