Ⅰ. Pretreatment Section for Soybean Oil Extraction
Process Flow:
Soybean → Cleaning → Crushing → Softening → Flaking → Expansion/Puffing → Solvent Extraction
Pretreatment ensures that soybeans reach the ideal condition for efficient extraction and high oil yield.
1. Cleaning
Various impurities—stones, dust, metal fragments, pods—are removed using:
Magnetic separators
Vibrating cleaners
Destoners
Different regions produce soybeans with different impurity levels. Our engineers provide customized cleaning systems according to the characteristics of your raw materials.
2. Crushing
Soybeans are crushed into suitable particle size to:
Increase surface area
Improve cell structure opening
Enhance extraction efficiency
3. Softening
Moisture and temperature are adjusted to improve plasticity, ensuring ideal flaking performance.
4. Flaking
Flaking rolls compress soybeans into uniform thin flakes (typically 3–5 mm), breaking oil cells and preparing them for efficient solvent penetration.

Process Flow:
Flakes → Extractor → DT (Desolventizer Toaster) → Stripping Tower → Crude Oil
In this section, food-grade solvent (usually hexane) dissolves the oil from soybean flakes. After that, solvent and oil are separated and recycled.
Main Components
Extractor: Rotocel or loop-type extractor ensures uniform immersion and percolation.
DT (Desolventizer Toaster): Removes solvent from meal while improving meal quality.
Stripping Tower: Separates solvent from crude oil.
The recovered solvent is condensed and reused, minimizing processing cost.
